Project Jan jagruti
Overview of the Jan Jagruti Project:
In urban slum communities, electrical safety is often neglected, leading to frequent cases of electrocution, fire hazards, and accidental injuries. Unsafe wiring, unauthorized electrical connections, and lack of awareness about handling electrical appliances contribute to these risks.
Recognizing the need to protect lives through education and preventive awareness, the SAAD Foundation launched the Jan Jagruti Abhiyan on Electrocution Awareness. The campaign aims to educate communities about safe electricity use and prevent life-threatening accidents through proactive behavior and knowledge dissemination.
GOAL
Develop an awareness campaign communicating safety measures involving electrical wires and poles in public places. This will ensure that information related to safety will move towards attitude and behaviour change through a larger and widespread campaign within target populations.
Objective
- To educate community members about the causes and dangers of electrocution.
