Project Drushti
Overview of the Drushti Project:
Since September 2013, the SAAD Foundation has been working on a project called 'DRUSHTI.' It is being implemented in collaboration with a number of non-profit organisations and healthcare providers. We conducted eye camps with the association with D.Y Patil hospital. We are actively involved in conducting Eye Check-up Camps at various locations throughout Maharashtra as part of this project. Drushti focuses on raising health awareness, with a particular focus on the eyes, given the high prevalence of visually impaired people. Contributing to a better health status by working at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of prevention and improving people's living standards. Preventing blindness among people and ensuring that senior citizens live dignified and self-reliant lives are the two main goals.
Objective
- To prevent blindness among underprivileged communities.
- To increase awareness about causes of avoidable visual impairments and blindness.
- To provide outreach eye care services to the poor.
- To provide care and support to patients with eye diseases through free surgical management at tertiary care hospital.
